Center Console Buttons all dead????

2000 S500
Center Console Buttons all dead????
ESP, ADS, level control, rear seat head restraints, hazards, central locking, anti theft, parking assist and rear window sunshade buttons are all suddenly non functional. As far as I can tell, everything else in this 2000 S500/W220 is just fine. It's just that row of buttons above the command system. Car is garaged and basically never driven in rain. Does anyone know the definitive cause of this problem?
