In my area (suburban Georgia), my guess would be one of the "bush guard" style bumpers on a tall pickup or Jeep, or something similar. Hit was solid enough to stretch the metal, but not heavy enough to cave in the panel. Light hit from solid steel with some mass behind it.

It could not be another car, not accessible to traffic.
It looks the trace of a tool or an L-shaped steel or aluminum bar, but that would cut the paint. If not it could even be the edge of a stud (wooden). Unlikely accidental twice.
