My 2000 s500 will not start. The dash does light when I install the key in the switch; however, the dash does not show any of the indiactors or values no beeping or nothing. The key will turn to both postion; however, nothing happens. The key will lock, unlock doors, activate alarm. Checked the voltage from battery 12.5, checked ground connection, clean battery posts (battery <12months). I've checked all the fuses in the engine compartment and rear passenger seat. All are good. What going on with this car. Please help.

I've found a setup online. The ECU, Gear shifter/switch, electronic ignition switch/wKey. Do I need to have this programmed after I install it or should I expect the car to crank. Thanks for the response.
