OMG, Stuck in park and now stuck in sport mode

OMG, Stuck in park and now stuck in sport mode
OMG, what better than a 10 hour day of work to walk to your car and BAM, its stuck in park. VERY LONG STORY SHORT, I was parked next to sears, 20 bucks worth of tools and 2 hours later I managed to get it out of park. 
Two problems, I ripped the light on the interior center console wiring out so Ill figure that out later (solder).... But, I cant get the car out of sport mode.
Button doesn't work. Doesn't really matter as I always leave it in sport mode
but I connected the wire , maybe I tugged it a little to much, does the plug plug in somewhere else. I would take any ideas.
