Burlwood/leather wheel too hot?

I am cosidering a wood and leather steering wheel, but live is swunny Florida, where you can fry an egg on your dashboard if so inclined.
Does the burlwood get too hot for comfort after sitting in the sun, and how quickly does it cool down once the a/c is on?
Any comments are appreciated. I think it looks great, but wondering about this.

I live in Atlanta. The Burl in my S600 never bothered me.....in the few rare instances where the Burl was too hot I just used the leather area for a few minutes until AC cooled it off.
