2001 S500
NORAY
I have a 2001 S500. 4 door closers and 1trunk closer. The front passender side door and the front driver side door closers will not pull the doors closed completely. Trunk and rear doors work good. Any suggestions?

Apparently, the most common failure for the soft-close system is that the plastic actuator housings break or separate. There are numerous you-tube videos on repairing these, and you can buy the plastic part from aftermarket vendors.
One thing to try is to pop open the fuse box at the right-rear passenger's heels, and remove the 20-Amp fuse for a minute. This resets the computer. If there is a problem with one of the actuators, the computer will try to actuate it a few times, then cut that actuation off. Resetting the computer tells it to try again...

Wally: Thank you for your responce. Are the leaks found mostly at the pump in the trunk or at the individual doors? I was unable to find youtube videos on this prob. Any help is greatly appreciated.
