PAINT HELP
Hello everyone:
I'm about to have some paint work done on my car. To be exact, I'm having an AMG body kit painted & installed. Along with some rust areas repaired. My trunk, bottom driver side door & I also have 1 rust spot on each fender. The car is a 2000 S500 I had the car for almost 10 years now & with an exception for the bottom of the driver door, those rust area were there when it was purchased. They haven't spread or gotten any bigger since I purchased.Since I'm having the kit installed, I figured this is the best time to have those areas repaired.
I have never had any paint work done on this car,or on any other vehicle I have owned. So having paint work done is all new to me.
What I was wondering is, what should I be looking for when trying to choose someone to do the job? I'm clueless as far as what to ask someone, so I was hoping someone on here can steering me in the right direction as far as what questions to ask & what I should stay away from. Is there a particular type of paint I should want then to use, or is there a particular I should stay away from? As I stated I'm clueless when it comes to this so all input is appreciated.

By the way if anyone knows of a good shop in the New Rochelle area they could recommended that would be awesome.

I would recommend Stuarts autobody in nj he's not cheap but does top line work uses glasurit not nason or other cheap stuff.. you really should check out an autobody forum it can be explained somuch easier by reading a few posts try autobodystore forum.com
