2000 S430 Brake Job
Hey guys! Looks like I need to do my brakes again. The last time I took my car into my mechanic but money is super tight and I wanted to attempt doing them myself. (With some help from my step dad who knows how, he changes the brakes on his 2008 Range Rover all the time) But I just need some advice on which pads and rotors to buy. I wanted to order from rockauto.com and I found what I THINK would be good products. Im not really sure how to tell the difference. Im only 17 and this is my first car. I love my baby. ALSO I would really appreciate if someone could list out the steps in detail on how to change the front Pads and rotors and the rear pads and rotors along with a list of tools ill need to get the job done. I want to redo my front pads, I just had them done but the type of pads and rotors they used were high performance and they squeal SUPER LOUD every time I stop. But yeah a detailed list of procedures for front and back and a tools list. Im a newbie and want to learn how to fix some simple things myself.

17 years old and driving an S-Class. One very fortunate individual. Good luck with your car. There are plenty of discussions on this forum about brakes and associated hardware. Just do an advanced search on brake pads for S-Class.

I use rock auto all the time. Hell they just sent me raybestos rotors for my audi for $9 each. Cost me $20 to ship them, LOL.
I am a BIG fan of EBC pads. Use the reds on every car I own. In a pinch, autozone gold cermaics work well with very little dust. Life time warrenty just bring them back anytime they squeal, or wear. They have NEVER questioned me on them.
