220 Rear strut really noisy!
04 S500 with soft close trunk. Soft close is working, but...
The right side of the strut/spring/hinge assembly is really noisy and sounds awful. I know there was a recall on this complaint. It has already been done several years ago, and of course, MB won't help now.
Question is, can someone help me with a solution or even the right part number? I had what I thought was the right part number, but unless I"m mistaken, shouldn't this one come with a spring? Or is that a separate part number?
Clueless on this one, never experienced it. Anyone have some insight, a fix, a suggestion ( a nice one...)? thanks if you can help....
