another ac question 2000 s430.
my ac stopped working the other day, when the outside temp got above 90, but had a couple of days when the daily temp didnt go over 80 and the ac worked fine, ive replace the blower motor the resister and the switch panel , that was a code 1000. the freaon looks low on the gauge i got from the store, but when i put in some freon, it would leak out like a big cloud for the engine compartment somewhere, is there a sensor that i might need to change? please any suggestion, its hot outside.

when it works it works great, ive been at thius for a while, I charge the Freon and according to the guage it shows enough pressure but then I would get a big release from under the hood, im guessing from the compressor area. I did let some out, but it worked when to outside temp went below 85 for a coup[le of days. I will take to ac shop tomorrow to get a true reading of Freon. and let you know whats up with it.

One possibility is that the system is overcharged, and there is an overpressure safety switch that cuts off the compressor when the system gets hot.
The escaping refrigerant seems to support that guess - there may also be a safety valve to blow off extreme refrigerant pressure.
Having a knowledgeable air conditioning tech check the system sounds like the best plan...
