S430 low beam head light won't come on

I have never seen any thing like this in my life !
I have had this car 5 months and it had more problems
Than any Mercedes I've ever owned ,
Now after all these problems are fixed the low beam
Went out I replaced the bulb and still no good
Checked all the fuses and they are all good
Any suggestions would be greatly appriciated thanks

As silly as this sounds, try opening the hood with the headlights on. If they come on when the hood opens, change the front SAM unit. Seriously. I had a situation where the LH headlight would only come on when the hood was open. Traced problem to a bad SAM. Folks, I can't make this stuff up! Ask for details, if interested.
Cheers,
Jeff

I had an issue like that with a ml. The AC would only work if I opened and closed the hood hard. Found out it was a bad relay after awhile .

Do the fog lights and parking lights work? Or is it just the headlight? Swap bulbs just to make sure you didn't buy a bad bulb.

All of the other lights work , but the dash is also telling me to check the rear fog light ? I didn't evan know there was one ! I already tried opening and shutting the hood , I had an ml 430 before and i would open and slam the hood down and light would kick on , but this puppy just wont come on no matter what I do , I bought the bulb as soon as I noticed the light was out but when I inspected the old bulb I relized it was ok ! So I don't knoiw what to do im in school for mechanics , so today ill check all the fuses but does any where know where the fuses for the head lights are ? all it says online is electronic fuse , id also like to check the relay , and put a ohm meter onto the wireing harness to see if its evan getting power , my teachers at school hate Mercedes and know nothing about cars in general , I mean the last time they were real mechanics was 15 and 20 years ago , so any help you guys give is greatly appreciated I truly love this car !
