Installing Cassette Player in 2003 S500
I am about to purchase a 2003 S500. My dealer tells me that a cassette player does not come as an option on the S class and felt that trying to install an aftermarket cassette player may damage the "intricate" audio system on this car with the integrated cell phone.
I have lots of audiobooks on cassette and absolutely need a cassete player in my car. Have any of you had an aftermarket cassette player installed on the S class or know if it is possible.

You're kidding right...? Where would you even begin to insert it? There's no buttons on the command unit to interface with the tape device. I don't even think that the car would start if the COMMAND unit was removed completely. How about you just bring a walkman into the car.
