1999-2002 W220 S500 AMG S55 S-CLASS GRILL MESH RADIATOR GRILL / GRILLE SET
Greetings my beloved W220 community!
I hope I am not violating any forum terms by posting this (if I am I will immediately remove this posting), but I would like to inform everybody that I have an extra set of 3 AMG mesh grills for front bumper for S-Class Model years 99 through 02. They will not fit 03 and up, as it has a slight uplift that changed dimensions of the parts.
I am selling the set with 3 of them together. Center piece, and two small pieces that go on left and right sides of front AMG bumper.
NOW THE REAL REASON FOR THIS POST: If you have the privilege to drive an AMG s-class or simply have the beautiful AMG sports body kit on your S500, please be informed that the mesh pieces that are part of the front bumper come out very easily with very little effort. Thieves use this fact to their advantage, stripping AMG bumpers left and right in New York City.
After mine were stolen by my own building super, and next day were offered to me for sale for 40 bucks by the same guy, I took precautions a step further and secured all 3 mesh pieces with hidden screws. Also, I park the car all the way forward as close to the wall as possible in my building's garage. Its unfortunate how many AMG bumpers I see stripped on the streets of new york.
Please be aware of this and secure yours before disaster strikes!
