S300 Exhaust fumes in the vehicle?

Thank you in advance. I have 2 questions:

1. It seems like when I accelerate, there seems to be exhaust fumes that make its way into the vehicle, only when the roof or window is open, and a buddy of mine that was behind me on his motorcycle had to back way off as he said he could not breath. It has 61K miles on it and I am going to change the plugs soon. Any other suggestions or where to look for leaks into the cockpit of the vehicle?

2. The trunk open button only opens the trunk half way then stops, if I open it all the way manually, it only closes it half way too. it makes a loud groaning noise when doing this operation. What could be the issue and how do I fix it?

Thank you
Ryan

Don't know about number 1 but for number 2 you can check the trunk open/close pump. The pump is located in the area where the battery is. Make sure that little plastic cap on the pump has fluid in it. If not, take the cap off and replace the fluid up to the fill line. I uses ATF to fill mine and it works great now. Had the same grinding noise you are experiencing.

Filled up the ATF and now it works like a charm, thank you for the advice.
