2005 S430 Error Codes: 2200; 2205
The Wife's 150k mile S430 recently started to not accelerate from a dead stop about a week ago, it happens every 2 days or so.
I read up about the possibility of the leaking electrical connector so I took it to an indy who is pretty reasonable to check that & the tranny fluid level.
He reported back error code 2200 & 2205, "spin sensor faulty" and 'Turbine spin'. He basically said 'run away, nobody will touch it'.
In the last 30 minutes I have found on threads that it can be the TCM, or the conductor plate, or the whole valve body.
Has anybody done a do it yourself replacement on a few hundred dollar part that it may be such as the conductor plate? Any advice would be great to try before forking over $2000-$4000 for a new valve body\etc.
Thanks!
Conductor plate is a common issue, give it a try (depending on the codes)
Clean all the gunk out and remember it will take close to 8 liters of fluid when your dropping the valve body.
Replace the adapter plug at the same time and also check for fluid build up in the TCM. Clean it out with electrical spray or carb cleaner and dry it out.
Reset codes in the TCM and hope for the best.
