Be careful i know people who got a ticket for that and it was about 115 or around there for no plate, and points if u get pulled over and a ticket. You can get a ticket even being parked too.

Some states do not have front plates--like KS.

Trust me... in NY, you need that plate.

I wont get a ticket if I put the plate on the dashboard when parked... will I?

it all depends on the cop and the location, here in nyc they will even if its on the dash cause its not in the right spot. i noe ppl who have gotten tickets for it and there not cheap becareful

A State trooper pulled me over last month for not having my front tags on, and the first thing he asked me was "is this your car?" When I didn't respond because I was too pissed at the stupidity of the question, he asked me again: "Is this REALLY your car?".

I just took out my license and registration and handed it to him.....got a $60 ticket.

clear lights??to go exactly where on the side bumper? do you have any pics of the clear side markers?? rides pretty good actually when i got them i was concerned but the ride is not bad at all.

I was actually looking into buying another 2001 S 500 and I would just lorinser or brabus it, and I shopped around and they go for like under 30k now. That is crazy! Good thing I got rid of it, the price dropped a lot, but I would still buy a 2000, or 2001 S Class over a C Class. It is still a G ride eventhough the price has dropped so drastically.

Price drop due mostly to the new W221 coming out, but I think it will hold its value better than the 221 over time because it is the original, classic, S. It was the first of a new breed that will set the stage for Ss for a long time to come. The 220s are already increasing in value in Europe.

Yeah, I am sure it will hold its value better than the W221's, but I am still shocked that the price difference between an 06 W220 and a 2000 is like 50k, that is just weird?!

I think the difference is close to $65k... which is incredible.

Before I start on this subject, please note that if someone offered me a W221, I would take it in a heartbeat for a trade on my W220, but I must say this:

I think the W221 is a sexy looking car on the outside... if you ever see one going the opposite direction the highway, you'll know what I mean, it means business. It might be a little Lexus-like and not a classy as the W220, but it's still a sexy car.

On the interior of the W221... I think that it's disgusting for the lack of a better word. I can not get over that hump in the middle, that looks so out of place.

Damn, you got lucky. I bought my old one for 105k and traded it in for the 06 and only got 74k for it. Now that is a rip for basically the same car.
