I guess I'll give it a shot to post a "build thread"?
So here we go.
At 16 I came home to a beauty. 2000 mercedes s430 as a 16th birthday gift as well as good grades. I decided to get a job to fund my gas and a few more things to express my style.

Self made-image-2957730012.jpg

I was browsing craigslist and found 20x9F and 20x11R Lowehart Lsr's for 600!!! Yes, 600! They were so close to flawless! Only one wheel was bent and were wrapped in continental tires 255/30/20f 305/25/20r. The way it sits is so aggressive and I just love it.

My next purchase was audio. I'm running a 1000x1 jl audio amp with 2 jl 12w3s in a super bass box. POUNDING!

A friend of mines also gave me Oem front and rear Mercedes Benz Seattle chrome license plate frames 😃😃

Up next were chrome pilars! I was influenced my by cousins with their chargers and magnums. Hahah!

Since I live in Seattle, I purchased front and rear weather tech rain visors. It was pretty hard for me to install. I was just afraid I was going to crack them LOL.

My last purchases I've made is PIAA yellow fog lights, 8K hids, Led interior and exterior lights, and clear bumper corners. Yet I'm planning on lowering my car, taking off my 25% tint and doing 50% mercedes blue tint, junction produce curtains! I do have puddle lights coming in, and I'll post pictures as soon as possible!

keep up the mods, but please don't don't bling the car too much, remember these cars say a lot when you pull up anywhere, dodges and magnums need this to do the same thing (bently cloans)!

LOL, you do have a point. I do want to get rid of the dark tint though. I've been thinking of getting an aftermarket lip. But right now I'm focused on replacing my lower ball joints..

Mercedes
Looks great right now and the chrome pillars match the chrome wheels so its not too much , but as others said its getting very close to overdone . Don't overdo it.

You might want to get the 2003-2006 style taillights to update the rear look, that won't be blingy but will update it

Personally I like my headlight, fog and cornering light color to match perfectly ... I would probably do 5000k all around .

You are one very fortunate 16 year old. Good luck with your new baby. I agree with Tusabes about updating the tail lights.

I do love the look of 03-06 tail lights. A buddy of mines might trade me his for mines and some favors on top. I'm going to have to agree with you, a few things are being over done. At times I feel like I over did it with the rain visors. Yet I love in Seattle and they do it's purpose for me hahah.

I'll have to second what tusabes mentioned regarding the lights. You will definitely want to go with 5K hid's as the 8K's will be very blue (and also give less light output compared to the 5K's). I agree with your choice to remove the dark tint, on the front windows at least. My '03 S55 has really dark tint all around and it makes it pretty difficult to manuever at night. And finally, I think I'm up to my $.03 already, I wouldn't do much more to the exterior before you lower it, and don't go too crazy with the drop, just something to give it a nice athletic stance. It's a great looking car and I hope you get to enjoy it for a long time.

Yeah, I'm starting to dislike my 8k hids. But I did find them on eBay for 9.99 and they haven't given me problems. My oem bulbs started to fade into a pink discolored look. My front is not tinted haha, I was planing to.. But I know it's going to effect my night driving. And yes I agree with the athletic stance. I still want a functional drop where I can still drive on the freeway comfortably and not worry about going up driveways so much. I was just thinking about a 2.5 inch drop to eliminate tire gap. Thanks man, and I know you're loving the s55!

2.5 is radical , you'll have problems with driveways

My car has been lowered approximately 1.25 - 1.5 inches and I think that is the perfect amount. The wheel gap has been minimized and provides a nice agressive stance but it's not so low that I have to worry about speed bumps, drive ways, etc. About the only thing that tends to cause a slight issue is parking bumpers, which will occasionally catch the underside of the front lip if I forget to raise the car via ABC. My car is absolutely filthy right now, but if I get it cleaned up this weekend I'll post a picture or two to give you an idea of the drop.
