Changing headlight

I have a 2002 s55 headlight that I want to switch out for the eBay projector headlight. Do I have to remove the bumper to switch out headlight? Also can I use the oem ballast for hid and just switch the bulbs since the eBay projector use H1 for low beam, or do I have to buy a whole new set of hid to put in the new headlight? Any DIY page? Thanks

you will have to loosen the front bumber to pull out the light fixture, the bulbs are different on the new fixture and probably wont fit. i think you might need to get oem hid headlights with the clear glass form a 2003 or 2004 and stay away from the other.

two bolts on top of the bumper next to the lights, two bolts in the lower grille, loosen the wheel well housing in the front and you will see a screw that ataches the the bumper to the front fender and another bolt that attaches it to the guide it will slide of just enough to remove light, look on youtube.
