![Question](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/icons/icon5.gif)
my '03 has the burl walnut wood (or whatever it's called). as best i can tell from the "build your own" stuff on mbusa.com, that's in fact the only option listed for those finish pieces.
i'm curious to know if there are any other options available aftermarket. a lighter wood (a pretty birdseye maple?) or maybe even stainless steel pieces or even the black wood (a la the R230 SL options).
searched the archives but came up empty.
tia,
doody.

FOLLOW-UP
as a follow-up and probably close-out to this odyssey i thought i'd post my findings.
as best i can tell, only lorinser offers aftermarket parts to swap out. they want $5,500.00 for the parts and they're available in a wide variety of options apparently (though they're virtually impossible to see unless you happen to be located near their distributor in CA). if you want the steering wheel, that's another $1,500.00.
not really reasonable. i'm gonna pass.
doody.
