Posted this in the s55 section but I havent been getting a reply so I'm trying here instead

Planning on hardwiring my Valentine One radar but in order to do so I need to know which wire to tap into that I can draw power from.

So does anyone know which wire is the correct one to tap in the dome light/sunroof control?

i got the power form the cigarette lighter and ran a wire to the top of the windshield

 

Howd you get to the wires in the cigarette lighter? do you remember which color it was or is there only one? And what'd you ground it on? 'preciate the help

 

I came off the cigar lighter too, I forgot which wire was which though .

 

That part of the console is very easy to disassemble on my W220 - the ashtray is readily removable. The ground wire is brown, so the other wire to the lighter is power...
