You need to get the codes read. Something is causing the CEL ( check engine light) to illuminate. Go to your local auto parts store and have them read it then write it down and post the results here. Might be a good time to consider buying your own OBD2 reader.

thank you bud for your advice…where can i get one of those at?any auto parts store?will any code reader work for a benz?

Only sme auto parts stores let you use the code reader tool. Call around and ask before wasting a trip
Most readers can scan for basic codes , there is a m.b specific computer called star das but you may not need that yet - try the auto parts store reader first

when you first turn on the engine, listen for a motor running for about 30 seconds its in the front part of the motor if you don't hear it,its prolly the smog motor and also the o2 sensors, it is a 2000

yes,i do hear that motor you are talking about…so this smog motor shouldn't be doing that or does it matter?
