Key fob won't lock/unlock doors
Hello all
I have spent the last few hours searching the forums and can't seem to find a fix. I recently changed the central locking pump from my car and now my cars key won't lock or unlock the car. It does work with the button internally. I attempted the programming of the key and a bunch of other suggestions from threads but they have not work.
I did notice my car battery seems to sometimes drained and the vehicle starts abnormal. I am wondering if the vehicle having a drained battery effect the car from locking with te key or there is another issue I might be facing.

Few questions... do you have door soft close and does it work? How about remote trunk close? and does it work also ? Can your drop the rear headrests okay? If yes to all the above, then I would guess the PSE system is operating okay. The disconnect is between the key fob and overhead control panel.
A quick over view.. your key fob's RF signal is picked up by the back glass antenna system, demodulated in the antenna amp and passed to the overhead control panel that then talks to the EIS and the central locking system.
If the PSE pump was replaced with a new one, did you have version coding performed with STAR ?? That may be your problem.

Thank you for your reply!, I just replaced it my self it's new, everything else works except headrest however this hasn't been working because I disassembled and apparently it's in a lock position. I checked for leaks everything is ok. I am thinking it's the programming part. Both spare and current key not working.
