$350 Cupholders, Unbelievable
Whatever you do, don't damage the cupholders in the center console. The panel that folds up the cupholders is stuck open and the dealership wants $350 to repair the problem. This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. When I bought the car I also purchased the extended warranty but cupholders are not covered which I think is a crock of !@$*. If anyone has had a similiar problem let me know.

Actually my cup holder is busted too. The car I have is a year 2000 with a warrantee for four years of 50,000 miles. I currently have 48,000 miles. Is my warrantee good until the end of the month of December? Also, who'd you go to for the extended warrantee since I need to do that as well. Thanks.

Im guessing that your warranty is good for four years from the date of purchase or 50,000 miles whichever comes first. I bought the extended warranty from the dealership.

That is true. I ran out of warranty well before my schedule B checkup was due, and had to pay some for it. Starmark extended warranty does not cover interior pieces, so look for any wear, etc. before your warranty is up.
BTW, if your dealer is cool, they will replace some things after warranty. I just had a sunvisor replaced, would have been $192. My warranty was up in August.

The conclusion to all this mess was that I decided to go ahead and pay the price for owning a mercedes. They said the fix will have a warrant for 12 mos. If anyone has contact information for someone they have placed grievances with at mercedes post it.

I ended up replacing my cupholder with a woodgrain cupholder and the woodgrain cupholder (which is very nice by the way) and it was around $350 or so. I could have sold you the original one I have sitting in my garage collecting dust.....

Starmark warrenties will not cover the cupholder as it is counted as "Interior Trim" so you have to fork over the $350 or have a broken cup holder. Never keep an S class over warrenty lol

Mine got messed up, (the door would not function)and guess what they had "six " in stock, does that mean anything? I was replaced under warranty, I guess it is up to the dealer to call it a N/C.
