Hallo guys I want to buy used S320 what the best year from 99 to 2004,any major problems they had Does the S is better than E and more reliable.what is main points thet I should take careful when I checked it,thanks advance for help.

Don't know much about the S320 but I would say the S500 would probably be around 2003.

S320 wasn't in the USA but the common issues like cps, shifter stuck in park and airmatic /abc suspension issues affect every model year of w220.

The earlier cars had more electrical problems but they all suffered from the problems I listed above

Thank you guys does The S better than E,what about the S 430 2001 I found a one with low km 100000.does that had good transmission and engine thanks a lot for your experiments info on your cars

The engine and transmission are fine , it's the suspension and electronics that have problem

There were some small changes between 2003 and 2004 model years, but primarily cosmetic. There were no changes at all from 2004 - 2006 prior to the 221 model. You could put those model years side by side and they are identical.
