Fatemaker: Most mercedes dealership are completely clueless when it comes to aftermarket modifications. Take your car to one of the many euro aftermarket shops in so cal. They will explain the problem to you and offer solutions (affordable).

You should definitely not be rubbing with 19's and with an unlowered car. The wheel offset is incorrect. I had a lowered S430 with 20x9.5 wheels and I never rubbed.

What is a wheel offset? Does this have to do with how the wheels are mounted and how far they stick out? It looks like the problem would be solved if the wheels were brought farther into the wheelwells.

It seems like they gave you the wrong wheels for your car. You will probably need spacers to push the wheel out (toward the street).

If the wheels are staggered (different width), it could be you are using the wider wheel in the front and the narrow wheel in the rear.

Hmm, it seems to me that if the wheel were brought in (away from the street) it would not rub the fenders.

The dealer is now recommending that we raise the suspension of the car.
