Engine noise
Hi,
I have a strange summing noise once my engine gets good warm, it follows the engine rpm exactly so I know it is not coming from elsewhere. Its like it is more easy to hear on low rpm. I have replaced the belt tightening wheel and it was not that.
Can it be a water pump or oil pump, generator or what can it be?
It is a low frequency sound, going higher on higher rpm.
It gives me the creeps......
anybody had any similar experience?

I have no idea what a summing noise sounds like.
In the USA (no idea where you are), virtually every auto parts store sells an inexpensive mechanic's stethoscope. This is a stethoscope that has a long, thin metal rod as its pickup device. These are very useful for locating and identifying mechanical noises by just touching various locations on the running engine.
