Need tires. Continental or Michelin
Tires on now are continental ContiPremierContact P225/60 R16. They are no longer made I gather, not sure which is the replacement but tirerack ranks the PureContact high. I'm looking for a soft quite ride tire, nothing big and fancy. Mercedes dealer says the replacement is a Michelin MXV4.
Which to go with, your option is appreciated.

Both are good choices. I've got the Pure Contact on my Volvo. Even in a 45 series, they're a nice riding tire. I am certain you'll like them.
The MXV-4 have great reviews on Tire Rack. I am sure they would do well for you too. I would honestly pick whatever is easier to get done (or cheaper). You can't go wrong with either. Now, for great performance, the Michelin Pilot Sport AS3 are still smooth riding, but handle extremely well...

I agree with Astro. Can't go wrong with either choice. I run the Continental Extreme Contact and am very pleased.

I ran the Contipros because I read that they were quiet. No complaints.
Now I am running Michelins - just as quiet, wear is much better.
