Question Opening limiter boot lid???

Hello I drive a S600L W220 2004 Designo.

I have two questions.

Question nr one.
--------------------
When I open my trunk / boot lid from inside / key / button it opens only halfway.

When I go in the "control panel" from the car I turn "Opening limiter boot lid" to off. It still opens halfway.

I have read many post here and on others sites and can still not "reset" it.

I have pressed and tryed to hold the red button on the boot lid then it will just close.
if I hold the button from inside in 5+ sec it still does not work.
And I have tried with the key too.

As you can see i have tried a few ways but can not get it work.

Question nr two.
---------------------
People talks about "The Star" if you leave it in to the local dealer.

What is that?

Thanks in advance
Kindly regards

Try this: With the car running, open the trunk(boot) with the button on the door. Keep hold the button until it opens as far as it will. Now close the trunk with the button on the door. After the trunk has closed hold the door button down (towards the front of the car) for about 10 seconds. This should reset it.

On the other question about "STAR". STAR is Mercedes diagnostic software.
