Dash messages do not erase
Dash messages do not erase
2000 S500
Problem: The battery died and when I replaced it with a new one, I got several warning messages: ABS light came on, ESP, BAS, airmatic, elect stabil progr. I erased them with the anazlyzer. After that, the front left antilock brake became activated with the lightest touch under 40mph. Above that speed, the dash warnings all came back and the antilock brake stopped functioning and the steering became stiff. I replaced the front left antilock brake sensor. Since I did that, all the warning messages are still on the dash and I cannot erase them and the power steering is stiff and the antilock brakes are not functioning and the ride is harsh.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I would start by very carefully rechecking the sensor installation. If that isn't the problem, I would try to get the codes read to see if that can reveal the problem.
i will inspect the instillation of the anti lock sensors today, and if i can not succeed, the car will be stored in the garage for the winter, because we are leaving to Florida this week.
of course we will be driving the other car.
thanks for the advice, and if you have any new ideas, would be greatly appreciated.
