engine swaps.

Regardless of whether the e55 supercharger itself will bolt onto your engine , it will not work on your 2001 s500 because the electronics to run the engine differ , it's not plug and play
You would end up with a car in limp mode or would not run at all .
To add the mb supercharger you would have to swap the wiring harness , ecu, ignition switch , fuse box and Computer.
Even if you found every one of those parts used or a wrecked parts car it will take $5000+ in parts plus hundreds of hours of labor . Aftermarket superchargers are a bit easier but run about $8500
I know people get all excited when they see a cheap parts car or cheap factory supercharger for sale- the reason they are so cheap is precisely because you can't just slap them on the regular s500 and turn it into a s55. If you could do that the parts would command much higher resale value . The best decision if you want supercharged is simply to buy a supercharged s55 and sell your car
