Confusing Airmatic problem

Dears,

I've read all posts regarding the airmatic problems and also tried to find the relay for the pump and secondary pump with no avail! the links posted on this forum on the start here guide isn't working anymore. I was wondering is this the part for the pump labeled O and would it also work for the secondary pump?
Amazon.com: Hella Relay: Automotive Amazon.com: Hella Relay: Automotive

my problem is that the car sits normally drops a few inches when kept un-driven for a couple of days but never too low. occasionally I get the Airmatic visit workshop warning but once I turn off the car and turn it back on everything works as it should! no hissing sounds tested for leaks no leaks and the pump only comes on when the car is started or i raise it.

so I'm guessing it's just a bad relay but I do not know which part to purchase can someone please help? if above one works I'll purchase 2 or more since I noticed some posts saying that the relay above works also for fuel pump and can be used instead of other fuses? this is too confusing please help much appreciated

By the way I drive a 2001 S320 which I didn't even find on the list of parts on amazon or ebay I only found that the relay matches up with the S430! does it make a difference?

I just tried the links from the START HERE encyclopedia thread, and all worked perfectly.

I don't know what the "secondary pump" is.

The Airmatic pump normally runs only when the engine is running.

The relay should be the same for the S320 and S430. The Amazon listing will be expensive - they charge as much for the shipping as for the relay. There are quite a few strong recommendations that you use the Hella relay.

airmatic error - car not self levelling after changing battery

Apologies if this is in the wrong thread...If need be please direct me to the correct thread.

I have a 2003 S430 (W220). I had the battery changed and after the battery was installed, I have error messages for all systems, ABS, ESP, SRS and Airmatic. Battery replaced Nov 2014. Uptil a few days ago, the car would level itself once switched on - with 10 minutes max. The last couple of days I switch the car on and it doesn't level itself, even left on for an hour. I'm certain its not an airmatic compressor problem as this was changed along with the front suspension. Any ideas or thoughts.... could the problem be that the ECU unit needs to be reset?

Turn the steering wheel lock to lock a couple of times to reset the steering angle. This should clear ABS,ESP etc errors.

Read through the "Start Here" in the stickies on the first page before posting. Most of the simple stuff has already been covered.

Good luck,

Bob

Thanks Bob,

I tried the steering lock to lock and didn't work. The airmatic is the main problem as the car is so low, that it doesn't respond to the airmatic switch to raise the car too. I may have to give up and take the scary option!!

Thanks.

Yes, further investigations show a leaking suspension. Having it replaced later tomorrow. Thanks for responding.
