Engine oil level.
Hello everyone! I just did an oil change on my 2003 S430 and i poured in 8.5 quarts of oil. Dipstick shows its at max. But the computer says i only have 7 quarts? This is done at a level spot at operating temp by driving for 10 minutes. Which one do i go by? The computer or the dipstick?

The dipstick. You will overfill if you install too much more than 8.0L or 8.5 Quarts per your owners manual. The dipstick is your friend!

Trust your dipstick. Whenever I change mine I use about 8 1/4 quarts. I have never had any problems.
