Opening the hood all the way, like 90 degrees.
Hello Everyone! My car was at the dealer a couple days ago, and i saw my hood opened all the way, like 90 degrees. I was wondering how i can do that, because right now the hood only opens like 50 degrees.

There's two clip on both side our hood holder (the metal one not the absorber.) first, open your hood in 50 degrees then push the clip on your right side (when you stand facing infront your car) then hold the hood & dont let the clip lock up & push on the left side clip & you will able to open it in 90 degrees. You may ask a person to give you a hand push both clip at the same time.

That's a small metal tab that presses in to release on each hood hinge. As JiatTi says, push one tab in, push that side of the hood up a little further, continue holding the hood up as you go to the other side, push that tab, and push the hood straight up. It will lock in place. Reverse the procedure to lower the hood to the normal opening.
It is surprising how much the raised hood helps when you are working near the back of the engine compartment.
