Mercedes S-class To Receive Slight Facelift
found this on a site
Unlike its predecessor, the current Mercedes S-class is a great success and doesn’t have to fear competition from Audi’s A8 or the Jaguar XJ, let alone a Lexus. Whether the new BMW 7-series will be capable of attacking the Stuttgart flagship remains to be seen. However, to keep the executive limousine attractive until the end of its life in 2005, Mercedes will slightly facelift the S-class. However, modifications will only apply to the car’s front and rear bumpers plus will include some minor changes in the interior. Technically the S-class remain untouched. Though Mercedes designers would love to completely re-design the limo’s headlights, this would be by far too expensive as wings and bonnet would have to be modified as well. The facelifted S-class will make its debut in the shade of the presentations of the new E-class and CLK at the Geneva Motor Show next month.
