Confirming real AMG rims

Any particular stampings to look for on OEM AMG rims to confirm they are real? Looking at a set tomorrow and would like some way to confirm they are OEM and not replicas.

I haven't seen and AMG wheel without the logo on the front of the wheel.

You can check the casting stamp on the rear side of the wheel. However, I don't believe that AMG makes their wheels. They are probably made by a company like MOMO or ATA. However, there should be an AMG casting logo or an HWA stamp along with a product number. If none of that stuff appears on the back then you are probably looking at a clone.

Real Mercedes wheels will have a part number on the back. They will also list ET and have the Mercedes logo. They are made by other companies.. My AMG spare hase a Ronal brand name... Google the part numbers when you see them...

I've seen lots of replica wheels with AMG on the front so it would be the part numbers indicated on the back that MCM was referencing. The wheel business seems to be a bit less than transparent though so who knows whether the replica wheels are manufactured by the same companies. Here is one example from ebay. I'm not recommending or referring it is just an example. http://www.ebay.com/itm/19-MERCEDES-...-/331536462816
