2003 S-class
2003 S-class
Anyone have any new info., pics. or anything about the 2003 S-class. I want to know, if my father gets a S500, if he should wait for the 2003 or just go ahead with the 2002.
Thanks!
Thanks!
They might lease it for me. I know...it's a lot for a 16 year old. But my family is blessed by God and my parents can afford to get me that car. Also, I get approx. a 4.0 in high school, I'm a year ahead in school and I am in advanced classes. So in a way, I believe that I have earned it because that is what my parents promised me if I got over a 4.0 in school.

S-55 Designo silver with Exclusive helios interior
Pkorkis, i think you must wait till the new car is out cause take my word MB always uses great time and efforts in face lifts and I dont think they will just touch the bumpers and little on the interiors they would usually change about 1000 or more parts ... Try add better aero dynamics... probably also have projection headlamps... and correct me if im wrong but im definately sure they will equip it with the new SBC brake control ... now thats more then enough reasons to wait just 2-3 months... oh! and did i mention the DVD controled COMAND?
happy motoring!

Don't worry about it
Phil, don't worry about it. I have been blessed also. I'm sure everyone on this board has been... I worked very hard and got ahead in my career, I purchased my first MB when I was 27, I had a CLK430 conv and my XK8 conv with my other 2 cars/trucks. If you are working hard at your schooling that's just as important and don't let anyone take it away from you.
Enjoy your car if you get it and take good care of it. Someday, you'll be able to do for your parents, wheither it's big or small, it'll be their payback!
I purchased my father (80 years old) his first new pickup truck in his life... He's going to wash the paint off it!!
Do well in school, do well in college become a productive member of this world and your parents will be proud!!

Hi,
Ive had a lot of fast (and slow) cars, (im 35), and looking back at when I was 17 and first driving I had 2 or 3 accidents that were *purely* because i was a young inexperienced driver, accidents that I would never have today.
(Got hit in the side by someone pulling out at a difficult junction, gentle rear-end someone, accelerated too hard in an old 325i bmw and didnt know what to do when the back end unstuck)
In 1st one of them I was lucky not to be hurt ... in the 325i I was just driving a car with more power than I was experienced for.
Im therefore a strong believer in start with "non performance" cars and work upward over a period of time getting used to the vehicle. Have your "learning" accidents at a slower speed :-)
So, can I suggest that you go for the CLK320 and put all the options on it to make it a truly special car ? I had a CLK320 before my CLK55 and it was a *great* car, accelerated better than most cars out there and I was never going to use the top end it was capable of!
Im sure you'll get great grades etc later and be-able to trade up ..
I know we all want the fastest and the best, and many can afford to get the best from our hard work, but I want us all to be safe as well.
