2000 Benz S500 won't turn over !!
Hello everyone ~
Please !! I just got this 2000 s500 from my Pop's.. I drove it home..
a couple of places..
Now, my ignition will not turn over !!
All lights, dashboard components and power locks work like a champ when the key is in the 1 and 2 positions.. however, when the key is turned to the 3 position, start, NOTHING happens!! not a click.. just put a new battery in the trunk too..
I'm just so excited about being one to own such a vehicle.. always have love MBz'.. can ANYONE suggest ANYTHNG?? Please !! Before I break down and tow it to the dealership that is ...
Please help me eh ?? I want to enjoy this vehicle, like NOW !!

No idea if it will help on the Mercedes, but on other cars, my first try is to hold the key in the start position and try to move the shift lever around...
