gas pedal replacement- only one plug in?
Went to replace the gas pedal as part of a troubleshooting problem on my 2003 S400 4matic. I pulled two gas pedals from salvaged 2000 and 2002 S430s. Both pedals I pulled had two connectors plugging into two separate spots on the gas pedal.
I went to pull the pedal on the 2003, on one connector (lower). Do later models on have one plug? I visual inspection did not show another plug loose anywhere near the driver side floorboard.

2004 S600 Biturbo
As far as I know, all w220 models came with two plugs. The first is for the accelerator pedal itself, the second is for the kickdown switch. A lot of the newer Benz's don't have a kickdown switch.

Thanks, I did some research and discovered MB has different part numbers for the pedals:
2001 S500 throttle pedal assembly is 2203000004
2003 S500 throttle pedal assembly is 2203000104
The big take away is a 2000-2002 assembly WILL work on a 2003, as that is what I have i my 2003 now.

If my memory is correct, just one bolt, a 10mm.
