They look very similar, but I think Hyundai is guiltier than Mercedes-Benz in this case. With the 2003 E-class, Mercedes just refined the 4-oval headlight look they introduced on the '96 E-class, way before the Sonata had that look.

C'mon, let's not bash Hyundai. I'd never even think of buying one, but you must admit their styling department is doing a good job (even if they're copying Mercedes--part of the job is making the cars look classier than their price suggests). Check out the XG350 grille--looks just like an Infiniti.
Let the poor have their fun. Meanwhile, the truly poor like myself will buy old luxury cars (and remain poor by fixing them all the time!)
