Unsafe Riding by GF fixed SRS Light
I sprayed cleaned all of my seat connections, the seatbelt receiver & anything else that looked like it was electrically connected to my SRS system. I did every reset in the Encyclopedia. Nothing worked.
....until, about 2 hours into a 4 hour trip, when my girlfriend was living on the edge with her feet up on the dash. I got about 5 system dings & couldn't figure out what was wrong. Then the SRS light blinked 2 or 3 times & went away along with the malfunction "...visit workshop" notification AND the Pre-safe warning also vanished.
The lights did come back a few times over the next 6 hours of driving that weekend but they have stayed off for over a week.
I'm sure she knocked something around in the seat pad & I'm happy that she did.
So, if you can't find the answer to your SRS light being stuck on, try shifting around on the seat in different positions to see if it corrects the issue.
Can't hurt.
