PSE Pump problem
Hey guys,
So i have a problem, during monsoon season out here in AZ, it started raining really hard. Didn't think anything of it, but the next day, i noticed that my doors were not locking. I checked the fuse for the PSE pump and it was shot, so i replaced the fuse with one of the same, this one is not blowing, but my doors still will not lock. I tried other features, my lumbar support will not work, my trunk will not open, my soft close doors won't work. pretty much all my air features don't work. but the weird thing is... My doors DO LOCK. but other than my doors unlocking, nothing else works.
when I try to activate the door locks, I can hear the pump kick on both locking and unlocking, but when it comes to locking, nothing happens, just the sound of the pump.
Is my pump like partially broke, or is it something else? I'm really confused by this. No air features work but the unlocking of the doors.
oh yeah, and my car is a 2001 S-430.
Thanks guys!

You mentioned monsoon rains , check your plastic waffle grille right under windshield on passenger side and look for standing water in the reservoir
Sounds like it may be water damage in which case you'll need to pull up the passenger carpets front and rear and dry it out

You often can't see the water in the passenger compartment at first, it flows in an electrical trough under the carpeting hidden from view . Until there is so much water the carpet starts feeling soaked

Even if you don't understand why we are suggesting it, open the hood and look down into the opening under the black grille just forward of the passenger wiper.
If there is water in there, you will have water damage to the electronics.

I bought my car, and when I took delivery, it had standing water in that spot. Not much, but it was there. No damage to any electrics. Maybe that's unusual, but it makes me wonder how many people that have had an electrical problem from it ever looked for the clog before they had a problem.
