Halogen lights on car with original xenon

Hi.

I have just bought a mb S320 W220 from 1998. But the headlight on the right side is broken, and i'm pretty sure it's an origanal xenon headlamp. I'm thinking of buying some cheaper projector headlights from ebay, but its says that i will only fit on models with orignal halogen lights. So my question is what is the differense on the original halogen and xenon? and what modification is needed to make it fit?

Thanks for all answers

What do you mean by broken? Just the plastic lens ? Or are the electronics /light not working ?

Buy the oem xenon light on eBay if you have oem xenon

Unless you are just buying it for the plastic lens , those can be Unclipped and switched from halogen to xenon

I don't think you should switch to halogen. I have to ride with my high beams on at night, the light out put is so bad.

The electronics/lights is working, but the reflector behind is broken. I was thinking of buying something like this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/2000-2005-Me...VUuM~X&vxp=mtr

Since i think they look better and are much cheaper. And then change to xenon bulbs. But as you can see in the link, those headlights will only fit cars with original halogen headlights. So i wonder why? and what modification is needed to make it fit?

Thanks for answer, and sorry if my english is bad

Another option is to not even worry about the reflectors and retrofit projectors for better performing xenon lighting.

I'm guessing his headlight housing is broken due to a crash
