Distronic problem W220
Hello all,
In 'm a new member on the MB world forum . I live in the Netherlands. I have been a 1.5 year a proud owner of a Mercedes S Class W220 . Recently I have a problem with my Distronic system . I keep getting the message '' clean sensor '. Now I have a question ? How do I know if the ECU module or sensor are defective ? The error code is C1000 .
Have any one get this message before and fix the issue?

did you clean the front of the distronic sensor (the round radar antenna behind the grille), and the clear plastic shield in front of the grille?

Yes I did. The sensor and grill are clean. I went to the local car service (non mb dealer ) Thee checked the distronic system and get an error code c1000 commonation problem. I think the ECU module is not good anymore, but it can be the sensor also.

If they used a DAS/SDS diagnostic system, the fault code will tell them in WIS how to isolate the fault.

Update ,
My distonic module was defective. Ireplaced an 2 hand one. Now I have the same problem “Clean sensor’’ error . MBdealer says I most change the distronic sensor behind the grill
Can anyone till me is it easy to replacethe distronic sensor?
All your suggestions welcome.
