Hello folks. I just bought a 2010 s550 4 matic. Looking to change out the rims. I would like to go up in size. But from what I'm hearing the larger the size can hurt the comfort of the ride. What do you recommend the largest size to go to and a company that offers a good quality rim. Keep in mind my Canadian dollar isn't worth much to the U.S. Dollar. I greatly appreciate your input.

If you're concerned about comfort, I probably wouldn't go higher than 19s. Depending on your road conditions, maybe 20s. 21s you start having tire sourcing issues and 22s you're riding on rubber bands. What size do you currently have now?

When you talk about wheels just about everyone has a different opinion about size and width. However, I agree with Michael. I wouldn't go any higher that 19's if you are concerned about ride comfort.

You can pick up 1+" look of your wheels if the spoke design runs to the edge of the rim vs. inside style. I am running stock 18's and my friend moved from 19's to 20's and said they look great, but you loos the ride.

ride quality will also depend on road conditions/quality honestly. Most streets we have here in california, 20-21s will be pretty smooth, but in other areas, absolutely no way would I put that size on if I valued comfort.
