Mercedes S350 - Petrol
New purchase

Hello Friends,

Recently I purchased a S350 - Petrol, 2005 October Manufactured (Second) and the previous owner told me no major issues except for the Vacuum pump not working, I thought only the central locking wouldn't work only to realize more than central locking is affected. I researched online and came across various options e.g. check fuse and all.. I have cleared that path but still the vacuum pump does not operate.

1. The back rear window sun shade/curtain does not work (- No Idea -)
2. The Central locking does not work
3. The automatic door vacuum closing too doesn't work.

Typically I can understand everything is interlinked but I need help to get started with please guide me on what options I can try to solve the issue or how can test if there is any other issue.

Thanks

Did you try a reset of the PSE pump by pulling the fuse and reinserting? the fuse is located below the right rear seat behind the light panel, its the yellow 20 amp. If you have it sounds like the PSE pump is shot. You can find a used one on ebay for around $300. Its located in the trunk on the right wheel well.

"Except for the vacuum pump not working". Well that vacuum pump controls a lot of stuff on these cars. If it is the PSE pump you will need a DAS/STAR system to program a new one to match the features in your car. Make sure you get the right pump. Use your VIN number.
