2006 S350 front left noise, and ...
Hello, and thank you in advance for any insight about a few questions.
1. About a month ago I began hearing an odd noise emanating from the front driver's side of my sedan. When I am at low speed and drive over a minor bump or even ridge, a slight noise is heard. I do not hear it when I drive over a speed bump, and I do not hear it at high speeds. (Both my airmatic shocks/struts were replaced in 2015.) The sound? Perhaps a slight clunk, though it is not loud or thudding ... more the sound of something loose rattling or clicking.
2. When I start the car in the morning, I hear coming from the front of the engine a chattering noise, regular rhythm. It ceases after 5 minutes or so ... any ideas?
Again, thank you in advance.

1. Possibly a sway bar mount or attachment. Not much stress or movement on the sway bar on a bump on both front wheels, more stress and movement on a bump on one side.
2. Could be the Airmatic compressor in the right front wheel-well.

This sounds like what happened to me when my airmatic pump failed. I didn't leave the car running for very long at the time so don't know if it would have gone away.
