Had Air conditioning filter changed 4 months ago. Must be all used up again because when using either heat or A/C and leaving vents open.. the car smells like smoke and exhaust! How many times am I going to have to change this filter while owning this car? Is this car know for this? When I took it to the dealership to get it replaced, they said "Yes.. S Class' have this problem very often, in fact it's so common we just use air freshener directly into the filter"... What kind of answer is that? Is this a mishap in production of this car? Is it a common flaw? Anyone have this problem?

 

That cant be healthy to smell gas and exhaust inside the car. I would definently push to make sure they get that fixed.

 

Ummm, yeah that sounds like a problem dude. Tell them to fix it.

 

You're getting jerked around. There has been no record since intro of S220 of this happening. Tell them to fix it or you will have your Congressman contact the various Federal agencies that deal with such a hazardous condition......trust me this threat works.
