vibration around 75mph?
hey all,
anyone notice a vibration going around 75mph+? It's the strongest at 75 and is not as strong as you climb speed. I can feel it in the floor, steeringwheel and seats. My brother who was sitting in the front passanger seat could feel it too...what could be wrong?
There's no virbations going under 75, highway or city.
Thanks guys.

i would reccomend you get your wheels balanced and soon.
you probably chucked a wheel weight. if you get them balanced quickly, the tires will not have developed a bad wear pattern. if you wait to long you'll have to replace the bad tire/tires because they will scrub to an out of balance condition.
option two is you whacked a pothole and need an alignment. but where could you ever find a pothole around here

is balancing covered under warranty?
EDIT: we had service B done a month ago and they reported everything to be normal. And at that time, it was vibrating a lil, but I filled up the tires with air and it went away.
could being low on air do it as well? i mean the weather is warm and cold here, as you know :p, it affects the tires pressure (as i've found out with all our cars are low on air, down about 10psi)

i'd bet money it's a balance issue as well.
and no, i'ts not generally covered under warranty.
i find that my W220 is very susceptible to transferring wheel balance issues. in fact, i can tell when i've got a few pounds air imbalance in the front tires.
the car seems to be engineered to expect the correct balance or it lets you know about it.
doody.

hmmm...alright. I know in the past when it was low on air, it would vibrate and when i filled it up again, it was fine, no more vibrations. I will give it a shot of air :p and see what happens. if it's still there, i'll bring it in.
thanks guys!
