Pioneer 2-din install
So my 2000 s430 came with a double din pioneer head unit installed incorrectly. When I turn the the car off the radio is still on. I noticed that the red and yellow wires from both ends are all connected to each other. Its killing my battery when I even turn it off manually. I know this because with radio unplugged and putting a tester on the batter its showing 0 volts with the car off. But when plugged in it reads 9 v. So my question is i want to connect power to the cigarette lighter so it turns off with the car. Which color wire is the cig lighter power and do i connect the red or yellow to it?

Hi Paul
The Pioneer I have here shows the Yellow as needing constant 12V and the Red to be connected to ignition 12V.
So, grab your meter, and check the wires to the lighter socket. Turn your ignition on to find the switchable 12V source.
