Telephone Unavailable - 2006 S500
So I installed the harnesses under the hand rest, and snapped in the Bluetooth puck. The message on the screen says phone unavailable, and I get no power to the puck. I unplugged the harness and the puck and tried it on a car that already had this system, and it worked fine.
When I start the car, The "I" button and the "tool" button inside the hand rest lights red for a few seconds and disappears. When I turn the car head lights on, this two buttons light up in the standard orange color.
Help please. Is there a software update needed, so I need to check any connections under the seat or in the trunk? Thank you.

I believe that your car uses a different puck, but on my 2003 S430, there is a blue button on the puck. With the ignition on, you press and hold the blue button to put the Bluetooth puck into discovery mode, and you must also put the phone into discovery mode so that the two can pair. Is there a similar process for your puck?
